The FPB not only publishes the results of its research, but also a set of databases. These databases can contain either historical data or forecasts.

Energy 

The statistics and projections are based on the principles of the Eurostat energy balances. The projections are mainly generated with the aid of the energy model PRIMES. This file completes the publication “Energy outlook for Belgium towards 2050 : Where are we heading?” which is updated every 3 years. This file relates to the Reference scenario. The file contains data for the period 2010-2050.

Environmental economic accounts and analyses 

The Air Emissions Accounts present the emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, SF6, CFC, HCFC, SO2, NOx, NH3, NMVOC, CO, PM10 and PM2.5 expressed in physical units by economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and for three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other), over the period 1990/95-2008.

Sectoral accounts and analyses 

The data in this section refer to the years 1980, 1985 and 1990 and relate to the input-output tables, the matrices of pure technical coefficients and the Leontiev inverse matrix. The tables were drawn up according to the European System of Accounts 1979 (ESA79).

The 1995 and 2000 input-output tables were drawn up according to the European System of Accounts (ESA95), which entails a break with the earlier 1979 ESA tables. There are differences in the industry and product classifications, as well as at the conceptual level. The data are published in the form of 12 60x60 Excel tables.

The 2005 and 2010 input-output tables have been calculated according to the European System of Accounts 1995 (ESA 95). The data are published in a set of 10 tables and are available at three aggregation levels of Nace Rev. 1.1 for the year 2005 (17x17, 31x31 and 60x60) and at the aggregation level of 64x64 of Nace Rev. 2 for the year 2010.

The input-output system for 2010 was calculated in line with the rules of the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). The data are published in a set of 10 tables and are available at the aggregation level of 64 industries (A64) and 64 product groups (P64).

The multipliers presented here include the output, income and employment multipliers of the final demand in Belgium for the years 1995, 2000 and 2005. They were calculated using a series of updated input-output tables at constant prices, in line with the National Accounts published in November 2010.

They have been calculated with data from the 2010 current price input-output tables, which were published in December 2013. These tables have been constructed following the ESA 1995 and the Nace Rev.2/CPA 2008 industry and product classifications.

The multipliers presented here are the output, income and employment multipliers of final demand for each region for 2010. They have been calculated with data from the 2010 interregional input-output table for Belgium. This table has been constructed by the Federal Planning Bureau in 2015 in cooperation with the statistical authorities of the three Regions (IBSA, SVR and IWEPS). The multipliers are reported at the work format level of disaggregation of the interregional input-output table, i.e. 133 industries for each region.

This database presents the very-long-term outlook of social protection expenditure (budgetary costs of ageing) and the evaluation of the poverty risk among pensioners according to the hypotheses of the Study Committee on Ageing’s reference scenario.

Structural studies 

This database contains the main variables which allow a better understanding of the evolution in labour productivity in Belgium. It constitutes the Belgian part of the European EUKLEMS project and includes the entire economy, divided into 38 industries over the period 1995-2012.

This database collects data on foreign affiliates of Belgian companies in 1995, 2001 and 2005.  It allows the top 10 entreprise groups for these three years to be established.   It also includes information on the number, the host countries and the activity branch of those affiliates.

It also includes a qualitative part, which allows the evolution in the perception of the quality of regulation and of contacts with the administration to be followed.

This databank contains the 31 indicators used to make a first assessment of the progress made by Belgium towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 adopted by the UN. The data used to evaluate/assess each indicator is also presented.

The website www.indicators.be presents a set of 75 sustainable development indicators, 25 of which are key indicators. The indicators inform on various social, environmental, economic and institutional issues which determine the society's development. The set is the result of over 10 years of reporting on sustainable development and offers useful information to help policy makers determine and follow up policy.

Transport 

The mobility and transport indicators database provides detailed data on the condition and evolution of transport and mobility in Belgium. The database is developed in cooperation with the FPS Mobility and Transport (website).
