Dominique Gusbin holds a PhD in Physics (1985) and a graduate degree in economics (1987), both from the Université catholique de Louvain. She worked as a research associate at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE) for four years before co-founding in 1989 and managing a consultancy, CO<H>ERENCE. During those years, she specialized in the modelling and quantitative analysis of the links between energy and transport, the economy and the environment. With her extensive experience in this field, she joined the Federal Planning Bureau in January 2001 where she started developing the long-term energy outlook for Belgium. Since late 2003, she has been coordinating the research work of the Energy-Transport team.
