Jan van der Linden

Jan van der Linden has been working at the FPB since 2002. As a member of the Structural Studies team, he carries out studies in the field of market reform and competition within the framework of the EU’s structural reform programs and internal market completion. His main research interests include the reform of network industries, competition in the retail sector, market regulation and measuring competition intensity. He has also written papers on the Services Directive, the Belgium-Netherlands 2018 FIFA World Cup bid and price regulation in care homes for the elderly. He has also contributed to several Cardiff reports and National Reform Programmes. Jan van der Linden also coordinates the editing of the Short Term Update, the quarterly FPB newsletter on the current and structural situation of the Belgian economy.
