The FPB not only publishes the results of its research, but also a set of databases. These databases can contain either historical data or forecasts.

Environmental economic accounts and analyses

The Air Emissions Accounts present the emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, SF6, CFC, HCFC, SO2, NOx, NH3, NMVOC, CO, PM10 and PM2.5 expressed in physical units by economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and for three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other), over the period 1990/95-2008.

The Air Emissions Accounts present the emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC, SF6, SO2, NOx, NH3, NMVOC, CO, PM10, PM2.5 expressed in physical units by economic activity (NACE Rev.2 A64) and by three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other). Emissions accounts are available for the period 2000-2017.

 30/09/2019

These accounts present the evolution of the domestic extraction of and the international trade in four types of materials (biomass, metal ores, non-metallic minerals, and fossil energy materials/-carriers) during the period 2008-2017.

 20/12/2019

The energy use account presents the yearly energy use of all Belgian residents over the period 1990-2008. The use in terajoules of 17 different energy vectors is presented by economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and for three household consumption categories (heating, transport, other).

 13/09/2012

These accounts present the evolution and composition by environmental domain and industry of the environmental goods and services sector during the period 2014-2017.

 20/12/2019

These accounts present the evolution and composition by environmental domain and institutional sector of the output of environmental protection services and of environmental protection expenditure during the period 2014-2017.

 20/12/2019

This account presents the distribution of three types of environmental taxes (taxes on energy, taxes on transport and taxes on pollution and resources) across industries (NACE Rev.1.1), households and non-residents for the period 1997-2008.

The physical energy flow accounts record energy flows which circulate in the economy and between the economy and the environment. These flows are grouped into three generic categories: the natural energy inputs (from the environment to the economy) the energy products (inside the economy) and the energy residuals (from the economy mostly to the environment). The PEFA report energy flows following their origin and destination. The origin or the destination of an energy flow is divided into five categories: production by industry (NACE Rev.2 A64), household consumption (heating, transport, other), accumulation, rest of the world and environment.

The PEFA are available for the period 2008-2017.
