To promote transparency and provide information, the Federal Planning Bureau regularly publishes the methods and results of its works. The publications are organised in different series, such as Outlooks, Working Papers and Planning Papers. Some reports can be consulted here, along with the Short Term Update newsletters that were published until 2015. You can search our publications by theme, publication type, author and year.
Since mid-2013, the Federal Planning Bureau has produced a series of studies and simulations at the request of and for the Commission on Pension Reform 2020-2040 under the research contract agreed between the Department Social Security and the Federal Planning Bureau.
Within this context, the Commission asked the Federal Planning Bureau, on the one hand, to undertake certain analyses on prospective studies that were previously published by the Federal Planning Bureau, and on the other hand, to simulate pension reform scenarios. The scenarios were developed by the Commission under its sole responsibility. The Federal Planning Bureau tried to assess certain economic, budgetary and social impacts of the scenarios by making the best use of its various models and its expertise on the issue, in very short timelines and given the current state of knowledge of the active behaviour of the older workers. In view of these constraints, some assessments were carried out using simplified methodologies. Likewise, the reports are available in their original language only.
The reports documenting the work carried out at the request of the Commission are the following :
